Ecoscience bags RM40mil contract for Johor refinery plant

KUALA LUMPUR: Ecoscience International Bhd (EIB) has secured a RM40mil contract for the construction and installation of a palm oils and fats refinery plant in Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, palm oil mill and facilities constructor said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ecoscience Manufacturing & Engineering Sdn Bhd, accepted a letter of award on Sept 12 from an oil process engineering company for the contract.

The scope of work covers the construction of buildings and infrastructure as well as installation works for the proposed refinery plant.

EIB said the contract is expected to be completed on or before July 1, 2026, and will contribute positively to the group’s earnings over the duration of the project.
