PETALING JAYA: Key ASIC Bhd has signed a RM1.11mil contract with a Middle East-based navigation systems company, with the partnership focusing on the joint development of an artificial intelligence-driven, ultra-low power radio frequency-integrated navigation chip.

The group announced the deal with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

Scheduled for tape-out in the third quarter of 2026, the innovative chip is designed for higher accuracy and energy efficiency, as it is targeted at a vast global market exceeding US$90bil by 2033, with applications spanning automotive, Internet of Things, industrial automation, healthcare, and consumer electronics.

Key ASIC anticipates multiple revenue streams from this venture, including direct chip sales, intellectual property licensing, and ecosystem partnerships.
